The history of Armenia goes back 3000 years. Located in the Caucasus, the country is often referred to as the cradle of humanity and is closely rooted in Christianity. Fun Fact: the capital Yerevan is 29 years older than Rome. Many legends are connected with Armenia and its history of origin. It is said that Noah's Ark stranded here on the highest peak of Mount Ararat. Even today it is said that the remains of the ark can be found on the mountain. Exactly where the snow of the mountain begins.
